What is WEEE?

WEEE stands for Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. It refers to the safe recycling of electrical goods under the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive.

Do you charge to remove old appliances?

We do not charge for standard appliance removal. A small fee applies to refrigeration appliances due to the specialist gas handling required.

Can you disconnect my old appliance?

Yes, most customers choose our disconnection service when available.

What happens to my old appliance?

All collected appliances are sent to authorised recycling facilities for safe treatment and recovery of materials.

What is the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol?

This symbol shows that a product can be recycled and should not be disposed of in general household waste.

Can you recycle items without the symbol?

Yes. Even if your old appliance does not display the symbol, we will still accept and recycle it where possible.

Why is recycling important?

Recycling helps reduce landfill waste, conserves natural resources, and prevents harmful substances such as lead and mercury from contaminating the environment.
